Cross-Body Shoulder Stretch

Muscles Involved: Posterior deltoids, medial deltoids, and teres minor and supraspinatus (2 out of the 4 rotator cuff muscles)

Instructions

  • Place one arm across your body in front of your chest.
  • Use the other arm to grab the crossed over arm by the forearm or elbow.
  • Pull the crossed over arm until you feel a stretch in the back and side of your shoulder.
  • Hold this for at least 30 seconds before switching arms and repeating the steps above.
