Underhand Cable Front Raise

Exercise Instructions

*You can use either a straight bar or EZ bar. For this underhand grip variation, an EZ bar is likely to be much easier on the wrists.

  • Have the cable set to the lowest setting and attach a straight bar or EZ bar.
  • Standing in front of the cable and facing the other way, reach down between your legs to grab the bar. Stand up with it. You can bend your knees and lean forward a bit if you’d like when performing this exercise.
  • Raise the bar out in front of you until it gets to face level or a bit higher. You can keep your arms completely straight or have a slight bend in your elbows. Focus on using your front deltoids.
  • Slowly lower it back down.
